Abstract
The shift in accreditation standards from a focus on library resources to information literacy poses significant implications for libraries. As educational institutions increasingly prioritize students' ability to locate, evaluate, and effectively use information, libraries must adapt their services and resources to support this shift. This research explores how libraries can navigate these changes and enhance their role in promoting information literacy on campus. One key implication of this shift is the need for libraries to reevaluate their collection development strategies. While traditional library collections remain important, the emphasis on information literacy requires libraries to expand their resources to include a wider range of formats and sources. This includes incorporating digital resources, open educational materials, and other non-traditional materials that support students' information literacy skills. In addition to rethinking their collections, libraries must also reconsider how they provide instruction and support for information literacy.
