Thesis Abstract

Abstract
Libraries play a crucial role in providing access to information and resources, making it essential to measure the quality of library services to ensure they meet the needs of their users effectively. This research project aims to develop a comprehensive framework for evaluating the quality of library services, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative measures. The study will focus on assessing various aspects of library services, including accessibility, collection diversity, user satisfaction, staff competence, and technology integration. The methodology will involve a combination of surveys, interviews, and observations to gather data from library users, staff, and management. Quantitative data will be collected through structured surveys to measure user satisfaction levels and gather feedback on specific aspects of library services. Qualitative data will be obtained through in-depth interviews with library staff and management to gain insights into their perspectives on service quality and identify areas for improvement. The framework for evaluating library service quality will be developed based on established service quality models and frameworks, such as SERVQUAL and LibQUAL+. This framework will be adapted to suit the specific needs and context of the library being studied, ensuring that it captures the unique aspects of the services provided.
