Effective records management skills are crucial for librarians working in archives to ensure the preservation and accessibility of valuable historical materials. This research project explores strategies for improving the records management skills of librarians in archives. The study aims to identify current challenges faced by librarians in managing records, investigate best practices in records management, and propose practical strategies to enhance librarians' skills in this area. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review to examine the existing literature on records management in archives and librarians' roles in this context. Additionally, interviews and surveys will be conducted with librarians working in archives to gather insights into their experiences, challenges, and training needs related to records management. The data collected will be analyzed to identify common themes, best practices, and areas for improvement. The findings of this study will contribute to a better understanding of the specific records management challenges faced by librarians in archives and provide valuable insights into effective strategies for enhancing their skills in this area. By identifying best practices and training needs, this research aims to develop practical recommendations for training programs and professional development initiatives tailored to the unique requirements of librarians working in archives. Ultimately, the goal of this research project is to improve the overall management of records in archives by empowering librarians with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively preserve, organize, and provide access to historical materials.
