Thesis Abstract

<p> This research project aims to examine the role of international humanitarian law (IHL) in regulating armed conflict and protecting civilians, combatants, and other non-combatants during times of crisis. It will explore the development of IHL, its application in contemporary armed conflicts, the challenges of compliance and enforcement, and the prospects for strengthening the protection of individuals in the midst of hostilities. By drawing on case studies and theoretical frameworks, the research seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the complex relationship between international humanitarian law and armed conflict. <br></p>
