Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of sustainable agricultural practices on livelihoods in rural communities. The study aims to assess how the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices influences the economic, social, and environmental well-being of individuals and households in rural settings. Through a comprehensive literature review, the research explores the theoretical foundations of sustainable agriculture, livelihoods in rural areas, and the interconnection between the two. The methodology involves a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis and qualitative interviews with farmers and community members. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and the structure of the thesis. Chapter Two offers a thorough literature review, examining ten key areas related to sustainable agriculture, livelihoods, and rural communities. The review synthesizes existing research, identifies gaps in the literature, and lays the theoretical foundation for the study.
