Abstract
This thesis examines the impact of sustainable agricultural practices on household income in rural communities. Sustainable agricultural practices are gaining importance in addressing environmental challenges, improving food security, and enhancing rural livelihoods. This study focuses on how the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices influences household income in rural areas. The research methodology employed a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather data from rural households practicing sustainable agriculture. The findings reveal that sustainable agricultural practices have a positive impact on household income by increasing crop yields, reducing production costs, and enhancing market access. However, challenges such as limited resources, lack of awareness, and inadequate support systems hinder the full adoption of sustainable practices. The study recommends strengthening extension services, providing financial incentives, and promoting knowledge-sharing networks to enhance the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices in rural communities. Overall, this research contributes to the understanding of the relationship between sustainable agriculture and household income, highlighting the potential for sustainable practices to improve livelihoods in rural areas.
