Abstract
This thesis examines the impact of sustainable agriculture practices on household income and food security in rural communities. The study aims to assess how the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices influences the economic well-being and food security of households in rural areas. The research methodology employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather data from selected rural communities. Chapter One provides an introduction to the study, discussing the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review, covering ten key areas related to sustainable agriculture, household income, and food security in rural settings. This review helps to establish the theoretical framework and research context for the study. In Chapter Three, the research methodology is detailed, outlining the research design, sampling techniques, data collection methods, and data analysis procedures. The chapter also discusses ethical considerations and limitations of the research process. Chapter Four presents the findings of the study, analyzing the impact of sustainable agriculture practices on household income and food security based on the data collected from the fieldwork. The discussion includes key themes, patterns, and implications drawn from the analysis.
