Abstract
This thesis examines the impact of sustainable farming practices on household income and food security in rural communities. The study is motivated by the need to address the challenges faced by rural communities in ensuring food security and improving livelihoods through sustainable agricultural practices. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative insights from key stakeholders in the agricultural sector. The introduction provides a background to the study, highlighting the importance of sustainable farming practices in enhancing food security and income generation in rural areas. The problem statement identifies the gaps in existing literature and underscores the need for empirical research to understand the specific impacts of sustainable farming practices on household income and food security. The objectives of the study are to assess the relationship between sustainable farming practices and household income, as well as to evaluate the contribution of these practices to food security in rural communities. The literature review synthesizes existing research on sustainable farming practices, household income, and food security, providing a theoretical framework for the study.
