Abstract
This thesis explores the impact of sustainable agriculture practices on rural household income and food security. Sustainable agriculture is increasingly being recognized as a viable approach to address food insecurity while promoting economic development in rural areas. The study aims to investigate how the adoption of sustainable agriculture practices influences rural household income and food security, with a focus on the benefits and challenges associated with these practices. The research begins with an examination of the background of the study, highlighting the importance of sustainable agriculture in addressing rural development challenges. The problem statement identifies the existing gaps in knowledge regarding the impact of sustainable agriculture practices on rural household income and food security. The objectives of the study are outlined to guide the research process, followed by a discussion of the limitations and scope of the study. A comprehensive literature review is conducted in Chapter Two, which presents ten key themes related to sustainable agriculture practices, rural household income, and food security.
