Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of sustainable farming practices on rural household incomes. The study focuses on understanding how implementing sustainable farming techniques can enhance the economic well-being of rural households. Sustainable farming practices are becoming increasingly important due to their potential to address environmental concerns and improve agricultural productivity. However, there is a gap in research regarding the specific effects of these practices on household incomes in rural areas. Therefore, this study aims to fill this gap by examining the relationship between sustainable farming practices and rural household incomes. The research begins with a comprehensive review of the literature on sustainable farming practices and rural household incomes. This review highlights the importance of sustainable farming methods in promoting economic stability and reducing poverty in rural communities. The literature review also identifies key factors that influence the adoption and effectiveness of sustainable farming practices, such as access to resources, knowledge, and support services. The methodology chapter outlines the research design and data collection methods used in this study. A mixed-methods approach is employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather data from rural households practicing sustainable farming. The sample size includes households from different regions to ensure diversity and representativeness in the findings. The findings chapter presents the results of the study, analyzing the impact of sustainable farming practices on rural household incomes. The data reveal a positive correlation between the adoption of sustainable farming techniques and increased household incomes.
