Abstract
This thesis examines the assessment of sustainable livelihood strategies in rural communities through a case study approach. The study focuses on understanding the various livelihood strategies adopted by rural communities and evaluates their sustainability in the context of changing socio-economic and environmental conditions. The research methodology involves a combination of qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques, including surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two reviews existing literature on sustainable livelihood strategies in rural communities, highlighting key concepts, theoretical frameworks, and empirical studies related to the topic.
