Colonialism has had profound effects on indigenous cultures in various regions of the world, particularly in Africa and Asia. This thesis presents a comparative study that examines the impact of colonialism on indigenous cultures in these two continents. By exploring historical accounts, scholarly works, and primary sources, this research aims to shed light on the lasting consequences of colonial rule on the traditional practices, beliefs, languages, and social structures of indigenous communities. The introductory chapter provides a background to the study, outlining the historical context of colonialism in Africa and Asia. It presents the problem statement that highlights the negative repercussions of colonialism on indigenous cultures and the need to analyze these impacts. The objectives of the study are to investigate the specific ways in which colonialism affected indigenous cultures, to identify commonalities and differences in the colonial experiences of Africa and Asia, and to assess the resilience and adaptation strategies employed by indigenous communities in response to colonial pressures.
