This thesis examines the profound impact of colonialism on indigenous cultures by conducting a comparative study between Africa and Asia. Through an interdisciplinary approach drawing from History and International Studies, this research delves into the lasting consequences of colonial rule on the cultural identities, traditions, and socio-political structures of indigenous communities in these two regions. The study aims to shed light on the similarities and differences in the colonial experiences of Africa and Asia, exploring how these historical legacies have shaped contemporary societal dynamics. Chapter One provides a comprehensive introduction to the research, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms for the study. The subsequent chapter, Chapter Two, consists of a thorough literature review encompassing ten key themes related to colonialism, indigenous cultures, historical narratives, post-colonial studies, and cultural heritage preservation. Chapter Three details the research methodology employed in this study, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, ethical considerations, and data analysis procedures.
