This thesis examines the specific case of Nigeria to analyze the enduring effects of colonial rule on its indigenous populations. By delving into historical records, scholarly research, and first-hand accounts, this study aims to shed light on the multifaceted impact of colonialism on Nigerian societies. The introduction sets the stage by providing background information on the colonial history of Nigeria, highlighting key events and policies that shaped the socio-economic and cultural landscape of the country.
