This study focuses on examining the effects of colonial rule on Nigeria as a case study to understand the broader implications for African societies. Through a historical analysis, this research investigates how colonial powers, primarily Britain, influenced and altered the indigenous ways of life in Nigeria. The introduction provides an overview of the research topic, highlighting the importance of studying the impact of colonialism on African societies. The background of the study contextualizes the historical background of colonialism in Africa and Nigeria, setting the stage for a detailed examination of its consequences.
