Abstract
This thesis examines the profound impact of colonialism on indigenous cultures, focusing on a case study of Nigeria. The study delves into the historical context of colonial rule in Nigeria, highlighting the various ways in which indigenous cultures were affected by the imposition of foreign powers. Through an interdisciplinary approach drawing from History and International Studies, the research explores the cultural, social, and economic transformations that occurred as a result of colonialism. Chapter One provides the introduction to the study, presenting the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms.
