Thesis Abstract

This research focuses on the impact of the Ijebu-Jesha Unions Conference on the socio-economic development of Ijebu-Ijesha from 1919 to 2010. The conference, initiated in 1919, brought together various unions and organizations within the Ijebu-Ijesha region to discuss and address common issues affecting the community. Through historical analysis and examination of international relations, this study aims to shed light on the significance of such conferences in fostering socio-economic development within a local community. The period from 1919 to 2010 saw significant changes and developments in Ijebu-Ijesha, both internally and externally. The unions conference played a crucial role in uniting the various groups within the community, fostering cooperation, and addressing challenges collectively. By coming together to discuss issues such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic development, the unions were able to strategize and implement initiatives that positively impacted the socio-economic landscape of Ijebu-Ijesha.
