Abstract
Climate change is a pressing global issue that has profound effects on the environment, particularly on coastal regions. This thesis investigates the impact of climate change on coastal erosion in a specific region, aiming to provide valuable insights into the dynamics of this critical environmental phenomenon. The study focuses on understanding the complex interactions between climate change factors and coastal erosion processes, with a view to informing effective mitigation and adaptation strategies. The research begins with a comprehensive review of existing literature on climate change, coastal erosion, and their interplay. Through a systematic analysis of previous studies, this review identifies key trends, challenges, and gaps in current knowledge, providing a solid foundation for the subsequent empirical investigation. Methodologically, the study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques to collect and analyze data. Field surveys, remote sensing data, and statistical modeling are utilized to assess changes in coastal morphology, sediment dynamics, and shoreline stability over time. Furthermore, interviews and surveys with local communities, policymakers, and experts help capture qualitative insights into the social and economic impacts of coastal erosion in the study area.
