Abstract
Climate change is a global phenomenon that has resulted in various environmental challenges, with coastal erosion being one of the most significant impacts. This research project focuses on analyzing the impact of climate change on coastal erosion and exploring adaptation strategies in a specific region. The study aims to provide insights into the vulnerabilities of coastal areas to climate change-induced erosion and to evaluate the effectiveness of adaptation measures in mitigating these impacts. The introductory chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. Chapter two presents a detailed literature review, covering ten key aspects related to climate change, coastal erosion, and adaptation strategies. This review provides a theoretical framework for understanding the complexities of coastal erosion in the context of climate change. Chapter three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, including research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis procedures. The methodology chapter also discusses ethical considerations and limitations that may have influenced the research process. Chapter four presents the findings of the study, highlighting the impacts of climate change on coastal erosion in the specific region under investigation. The chapter also evaluates the effectiveness of various adaptation strategies in reducing the vulnerability of coastal areas to erosion.
