Title Analysis of Urban Heat Islands in a Developing City A Case Study Abstract
Urban heat islands (UHIs) are a well-documented phenomenon where urban areas experience higher temperatures compared to their rural surroundings due to human activities and urbanization. This study focuses on analyzing UHIs in a developing city to understand the extent of temperature variations and their impacts on the urban environment. The case study city chosen for this research provides a unique opportunity to investigate the factors contributing to UHIs in a rapidly developing urban setting. The research begins with a comprehensive review of existing literature on UHIs, emphasizing the causes, effects, and mitigation strategies associated with this phenomenon. By synthesizing previous studies, this review sets the foundation for understanding UHIs and their implications for urban development. The methodology chapter outlines the research design, data collection techniques, and analysis methods employed in this study. Utilizing both quantitative and qualitative approaches, the research aims to gather temperature data from various urban locations within the case study city and analyze the spatial distribution of heat islands.
