This thesis presents a comprehensive analysis of UHIs in major cities around the world, focusing on understanding the factors contributing to their formation and exploring potential mitigation strategies. The study employs a combination of remote sensing data, geographic information systems (GIS), and statistical analysis to assess the spatial and temporal characteristics of UHIs in selected metropolitan areas.
