Coastal erosion is a pressing issue exacerbated by climate change, posing significant threats to coastal communities and ecosystems worldwide. This thesis examines the impact of climate change on coastal erosion in a specific region, aiming to enhance understanding of the complex interactions between changing climatic conditions and coastal processes. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining remote sensing analysis, field surveys, and GIS modeling to investigate coastal erosion dynamics in the target region. The introductory chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the research background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the thesis. A clear definition of key terms related to coastal erosion and climate change is also presented to establish a common understanding. Chapter two presents a detailed literature review comprising ten key themes related to coastal erosion, climate change impacts, adaptation strategies, and relevant case studies.
