Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of climate change on coastal ecosystems, focusing on a specific coastal area. The study aims to assess how climate change is affecting the biodiversity, resilience, and overall health of the coastal ecosystem in the chosen area. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing literature, field observations, and data collection, this research seeks to provide insights into the specific challenges faced by coastal ecosystems in the face of climate change. The study also aims to identify potential adaptation strategies to mitigate the negative effects of climate change on coastal ecosystems. Chapter One of the thesis provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two offers a detailed literature review covering ten key areas related to climate change impacts on coastal ecosystems, including biodiversity loss, sea level rise, ocean acidification, and extreme weather events.
