The abstract section of the research content is as follows This study aims to investigate the perception of the urban beautification program in Ibadan, Nigeria. Urban beautification programs are essential for enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of urban spaces, leading to improved quality of life for residents. However, the success of such programs largely depends on the perception and feedback of the local community. In the case of Ibadan, a rapidly growing city facing various urban challenges, understanding how residents perceive the beautification efforts is crucial for effective urban planning and development. The research methodology will involve a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Surveys will be conducted to gather data on residents' awareness of the beautification program, their opinions on the initiatives undertaken, and the perceived impact on the urban environment. Additionally, interviews and focus group discussions will be conducted to delve deeper into the underlying factors shaping residents' perceptions. The findings of this study are expected to provide valuable insights for urban planners, policymakers, and other stakeholders involved in urban development in Ibadan. By understanding how residents perceive the beautification program, authorities can tailor their initiatives to better meet the needs and expectations of the community. Furthermore, the study will contribute to the existing literature on urban beautification and public perception, particularly in the context of developing countries. Overall, the research aims to bridge the gap between urban planning strategies and community engagement by highlighting the importance of considering residents' perceptions in shaping urban beautification programs. Through a comprehensive analysis of the perception of the urban beautification program in Ibadan, this study seeks to promote sustainable and inclusive urban development practices that prioritize the well-being and preferences of the local population.
