Abstract
Climate change poses a significant threat to global food security by altering weather patterns, increasing the frequency of extreme weather events, and impacting agricultural productivity. This multidisciplinary analysis explores the complex interplay between climate change and food security, drawing on insights from environmental science, agriculture, economics, and social sciences. The study aims to investigate the current and potential future impacts of climate change on food security at a global scale, with a focus on identifying vulnerabilities, assessing adaptation strategies, and proposing policy recommendations. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. The literature review in Chapter Two critically examines ten key studies and reports related to climate change, food security, and adaptation strategies, highlighting gaps in knowledge and areas for further investigation. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and analytical tools used to analyze the data. This chapter also discusses ethical considerations and limitations of the research process. Chapter Four presents a detailed discussion of the findings, including an analysis of the impacts of climate change on global food security, identification of vulnerable regions and populations, evaluation of adaptation strategies, and policy implications.
