This thesis investigates the impact of social media on the mental health of young adults through a comprehensive case study analysis. The study aims to explore the various ways in which social media usage influences the mental well-being of young adults, as well as the underlying factors contributing to these effects. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two comprises a detailed literature review that examines existing research on social media and mental health, highlighting key findings, theories, and gaps in the current knowledge base.
