This research project aims to investigate the multifaceted role of dietary fibers in promoting gastrointestinal (GI) health. Dietary fibers, known for their diverse physiological effects, have been associated with numerous health benefits, particularly in relation to GI function. Despite the growing body of research on this topic, there remains a need for a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms through which dietary fibers exert their beneficial effects on GI health. This study will employ a multidisciplinary approach, integrating nutritional, physiological, and microbiological perspectives to elucidate the complex interactions between dietary fibers and the GI tract. Through a combination of in vitro experiments, animal studies, and human trials, this research seeks to provide valuable insights into the potential therapeutic applications of dietary fibers for managing GI disorders and promoting overall health.
