**
The excessive use of conventional plastic packaging has led to severe environmental consequences, including pollution and depletion of natural resources. As a result, there is a growing demand for sustainable alternatives in the food packaging industry. Biodegradable materials offer a promising solution to this problem due to their ability to degrade naturally, reducing the burden on the environment. This project aims to investigate the utilization of biodegradable materials in food packaging, focusing on their properties, suitability for different food products, and environmental impact. The study will involve the evaluation of various biodegradable materials, such as bioplastics, bio-based polymers, and natural fibers, in terms of their barrier properties, mechanical strength, and compatibility with food. Additionally, the project will assess consumer perceptions and acceptance of biodegradable packaging compared to traditional plastic packaging. By exploring the potential of biodegradable materials in food packaging, this research seeks to contribute to the development of sustainable packaging solutions that minimize environmental impact while ensuring food safety and quality.
