The world of contemporary art is a dynamic and ever-evolving space where artists continually navigate between tradition and modernity, seeking to create innovative works that reflect the complexities of our time. This thesis explores the intersection of tradition and modernity in contemporary art, examining how artists draw inspiration from traditional practices while engaging with modern techniques and concepts. Through a comprehensive analysis of various artworks and artistic movements, this study aims to shed light on the ways in which tradition and modernity coexist and interact in the realm of contemporary art. Chapter One provides the foundation for this study, beginning with an Introduction (1.1) that outlines the significance of exploring the intersection of tradition and modernity in contemporary art. The Background of Study (1.2) offers a historical overview of traditional and modern art practices, setting the stage for the analysis to follow.
