Microplastic pollution in freshwater ecosystems has become a significant environmental concern globally due to its adverse impacts on aquatic life and potential threats to human health. This thesis focuses on assessing the extent of microplastic pollution in freshwater ecosystems, understanding its impacts, and proposing effective mitigation strategies to address this pressing issue.
