Abstract
Coral reefs are among the most diverse and productive ecosystems in the world, providing critical habitat for marine biodiversity and supporting the livelihoods of millions of people. However, coral reefs are facing unprecedented threats from climate change, including rising sea temperatures, ocean acidification, and extreme weather events. Marine protected areas (MPAs) have been established as a key strategy for conserving coral reefs and mitigating the impacts of climate change. This thesis presents an assessment of the impact of climate change on coral reef ecosystems in a marine protected area, focusing on understanding the current status of coral reefs, identifying the key threats posed by climate change, and evaluating the effectiveness of existing conservation measures.
