**Abstract
** Coral reefs, known as the rainforests of the sea, play a crucial role in marine ecosystems and provide essential ecosystem services to millions of people worldwide. However, these valuable ecosystems are increasingly under threat due to the impacts of climate change. This thesis aims to investigate the impact of climate change on coral reefs and explore potential mitigation strategies to protect and preserve these vulnerable ecosystems. The first chapter of the thesis provides an introduction to the study, presenting the background of the research, defining the problem statement, outlining the objectives, discussing the limitations and scope of the study, highlighting the significance of the research, and presenting the structure of the thesis.
