This thesis presents an in-depth assessment of the impact of various plastic waste management strategies on marine ecosystems. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of current waste management practices in mitigating the adverse effects of plastic pollution on marine life and ecosystems. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, the problem statement, research objectives, limitations, scope, significance of the study, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. The literature review in Chapter Two explores ten key areas related to plastic waste management, marine ecosystems, and environmental impacts. Chapter Three details the research methodology, including research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, tools for analysis, ethical considerations, and limitations.
