Sustainable waste management practices are crucial to address these issues and promote a cleaner and healthier urban environment. This thesis explores the implementation of sustainable waste management practices in urban areas to enhance waste reduction, recycling, and proper disposal methods. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. The chapter sets the stage for understanding the importance of sustainable waste management practices in urban areas and the need for effective strategies to address waste management challenges.
