Abstract
The impact of climate change on biodiversity conservation in protected areas has become a critical concern in environmental management. This thesis examines the implications of climate change on biodiversity conservation efforts in protected areas and aims to provide insights into the challenges and opportunities for enhancing conservation strategies in the face of changing climatic conditions. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis and qualitative assessments to explore the interactions between climate change and biodiversity conservation in protected areas. The research begins with a comprehensive review of the existing literature on climate change impacts on biodiversity and conservation efforts. This review highlights the current knowledge gaps and identifies key research questions to be addressed in the study. Chapter Two presents the findings of the literature review, focusing on ten key themes related to climate change impacts on biodiversity conservation in protected areas. These themes include the effects of temperature changes, altered precipitation patterns, habitat loss, species migration, and ecosystem resilience.
