This thesis examines the Assessment of Sustainable Waste Management Practices in Urban Areas. Waste management has become a critical issue in urban areas due to the increasing population and industrial activities, leading to environmental degradation and health hazards. The study aims to assess the current waste management practices in urban areas and propose sustainable solutions to address the challenges associated with waste management. The research begins with an introduction that outlines the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. The literature review in Chapter Two provides a comprehensive analysis of existing studies on waste management practices, sustainable solutions, and their implementation in urban areas.
