Abstract
Plastic pollution has become a major environmental issue globally with severe consequences on marine ecosystems. This study aims to analyze the sources and extent of plastic waste entering marine environments, examine the various impacts of plastic ingestion and entanglement on marine species, and suggest possible mitigation strategies. Field surveys and laboratory experiments will be conducted to understand the prevalence of different types of plastics in coastal waters and their effects on key marine life forms. The findings of this research will highlight the urgent need to reduce plastic usage and improve waste management in order to protect ocean health.
