Abstract
The oil and gas sector plays a crucial role in Nigeria's economy, with pipelines serving as vital infrastructure for transportation. However, the pipeline network in the country faces significant challenges, including vandalism, sabotage, and aging infrastructure, leading to frequent disruptions in the supply chain. These issues not only impact the economy but also pose significant environmental and safety risks. This research project aims to investigate the effects of pipeline vitalization in Nigeria, focusing on the problems faced and potential solutions to enhance the efficiency and security of the pipeline network. The study will involve a comprehensive review of existing literature on pipeline management, vandalism trends, and regulatory frameworks in Nigeria. Additionally, data will be collected through interviews with industry experts, government officials, and community stakeholders to gain insights into the root causes of pipeline disruptions and potential strategies for improvement. The research will also explore technological advancements in pipeline monitoring and security systems that can help mitigate vandalism and enhance the overall reliability of the pipeline network. By analyzing the findings, this study seeks to provide actionable recommendations for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and communities to collaborate on implementing effective measures to revitalize the pipeline infrastructure in Nigeria.
