Abstract
This research project aimed to investigate the impact of remote work on employee productivity and well-being. With the rise of technology and the COVID-19 pandemic prompting a shift towards remote work, understanding the effects of this work arrangement on employees is crucial for organizations. The study utilized both quantitative and qualitative research methods to gather data from employees working remotely. The quantitative data was collected through surveys measuring productivity levels before and after the transition to remote work, while the qualitative data was obtained through interviews to assess employees' well-being and work-life balance. The results of the study indicated that remote work had a mixed impact on employee productivity. While some employees reported higher productivity levels due to reduced commute time and fewer distractions in a remote setting, others experienced challenges such as difficulty in separating work from personal life and feelings of isolation. Additionally, the study found that employees' well-being was influenced by factors such as the availability of social support, flexibility in work hours, and the nature of job tasks. Overall, the findings suggest that remote work can have both positive and negative effects on employee productivity and well-being. Organizations should consider implementing strategies to optimize the benefits of remote work while addressing the challenges that employees may face. This may include providing resources for mental health support, fostering virtual team-building activities, and promoting a culture of work-life balance. By understanding the implications of remote work on employees, organizations can create a supportive and productive work environment that meets the needs of their workforce in a remote setting.
