This research project aims to investigate the impact of social media usage on mental health among adolescents. With the increasing popularity and widespread use of social media platforms among young people, concerns have been raised regarding the potential negative effects on mental well-being. The study will focus on exploring how various aspects of social media, such as the amount of time spent, types of content viewed, and interactions with others, may influence the mental health of adolescents. A mixed-methods approach will be employed to gather data from a sample of adolescents aged 13-18 years. Quantitative surveys will be used to collect information on social media usage patterns, mental health symptoms, and perceived stress levels. Additionally, qualitative interviews will be conducted to gain a deeper understanding of the subjective experiences and perceptions of adolescents regarding the impact of social media on their mental health.
