Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of interactive technology on student engagement in economics education. The use of technology in education has been steadily increasing, with interactive tools and platforms becoming more prevalent in classrooms around the world. This study focuses specifically on how interactive technology can enhance student engagement in the field of economics. The research begins with a comprehensive review of the literature on interactive technology in education, highlighting its benefits and challenges. Various interactive tools and platforms commonly used in economics education are examined to understand how they can be leveraged to improve student engagement. A mixed-methods approach is employed to gather data for this study. Surveys are distributed to economics students to collect quantitative data on their experiences with interactive technology in the classroom. Additionally, interviews are conducted with economics educators to gain qualitative insights into the effectiveness of interactive technology in enhancing student engagement. The findings reveal that interactive technology plays a significant role in increasing student engagement in economics education. Students report higher levels of motivation, interest, and participation when interactive tools are integrated into their learning experiences. Educators also acknowledge the positive impact of interactive technology on student engagement and note improvements in learning outcomes.
