This research project aims to investigate the impact of social media on mental health among young adults. The popularity and widespread use of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat have raised concerns about their potential effects on mental well-being. The study will explore both the positive and negative aspects of social media use on mental health. It will examine how social media can contribute to feelings of social connectedness, self-expression, and overall well-being. On the other hand, the project will also investigate the negative consequences, such as increased feelings of anxiety, depression, loneliness, and the impact of cyberbullying. Through a combination of surveys, interviews, and data analysis, the research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between social media and mental health. By gathering insights directly from young adults, the study seeks to uncover the nuances of their experiences with social media and how it influences their psychological well-being.
