Thesis Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding practice is a critical aspect of infant nutrition that has been widely studied for its numerous benefits on a child's health and development. This research project aims to investigate the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the physical appearance of infants aged three to six months. The study will focus on how exclusive breastfeeding influences factors such as weight gain, skin health, and overall growth patterns in this specific age group. The physical appearance of infants is an important indicator of their overall health and well-being. Exclusive breastfeeding, which involves feeding an infant only breast milk without any additional food or drink, is known to provide essential nutrients and antibodies that support healthy growth and development. By examining the physical appearance of infants who are exclusively breastfed, this study seeks to determine whether there are observable differences in weight gain, skin health, and other physical characteristics compared to infants who receive mixed feeding or formula feeding. The research will be conducted using a sample of infants aged three to six months, with a focus on monitoring their growth and development over a period of time. Measurements such as weight, length, head circumference, and skin health will be recorded at regular intervals to track changes and assess the impact of exclusive breastfeeding on these parameters. In addition, the study will also consider factors such as maternal nutrition, breastfeeding practices, and socio-economic status to account for any potential confounding variables.
