Trade liberalization has been a significant policy tool adopted by many developing countries to enhance economic growth. This thesis explores the impact of trade liberalization on economic growth, focusing on developing countries. The study investigates the relationship between trade liberalization policies and economic growth indicators, analyzing the mechanisms through which trade liberalization influences economic development. A case study approach is employed to examine the experiences of selected developing countries in implementing trade liberalization measures and their effects on economic growth. The research begins with an introduction that outlines the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance of the study, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. The literature review in Chapter Two critically examines existing studies on the impact of trade liberalization on economic growth, highlighting various theoretical frameworks and empirical evidence. The chapter also explores factors that mediate the relationship between trade liberalization and economic growth, such as trade openness, export diversification, foreign direct investment, and institutional quality.
