Abstract
This thesis explores the relationship between foreign direct investment (FDI) and economic growth in developing countries. The study aims to investigate the impact of FDI inflows on the economic development of these nations, considering various factors such as technology transfer, employment generation, and productivity enhancement. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review, quantitative data analysis, and case studies of select developing countries. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the topic, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter 2 presents a detailed literature review encompassing ten key aspects related to FDI and economic growth in developing countries. Chapter 3 discusses the research methodology, including research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and analytical tools. The findings presented in Chapter 4 reveal the impact of FDI on economic growth through a critical analysis of the data and case studies.
