This research project aims to investigate the impact of social media on mental health among teenagers. The study will explore how excessive use of social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat can contribute to mental health issues including anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem among teenagers. The research will involve conducting surveys and interviews with teenagers to gather data on their social media habits, feelings of self-worth, and mental well-being. The findings of this study will provide valuable insights into the relationship between social media usage and mental health outcomes in teenagers. By understanding the potential negative effects of social media on mental health, parents, educators, and mental health professionals can develop strategies to promote healthier social media usage among teenagers. This research also aims to raise awareness about the importance of monitoring and regulating social media use, especially among vulnerable populations such as teenagers. Overall, this study seeks to contribute to the existing body of research on the impact of social media on mental health and provide practical recommendations for supporting the mental well-being of teenagers in the digital age. By identifying the specific ways in which social media can affect mental health, this research can inform the development of targeted interventions and educational programs to help teenagers navigate social media in a way that promotes positive mental health outcomes.
