Abstract
This thesis presents a comprehensive investigation into the efficacy of herbal remedies in treating acne through a comparative study. Acne is a common skin condition that affects individuals of all ages, causing physical and psychological distress. While conventional treatments such as topical creams and oral medications are widely used, there is a growing interest in herbal remedies as alternative or complementary therapies for acne management. The study aims to compare the effectiveness of selected herbal remedies in treating acne and assess their potential benefits and limitations. A systematic literature review was conducted to identify and evaluate relevant studies on the use of herbal remedies for acne treatment. Ten herbal remedies with purported anti-acne properties were selected for the comparative analysis based on their historical use, mechanism of action, and existing scientific evidence. The research methodology involved a randomized controlled trial with acne patients divided into several groups, each receiving a different herbal remedy or standard treatment for a specified period. Data on acne severity, lesion count, inflammation, and patient satisfaction were collected and analyzed to determine the comparative efficacy of the herbal remedies.
