Abstract
Acne vulgaris is a common skin condition that affects individuals of all age groups, with varying degrees of severity and impact on quality of life. The efficacy of different treatment modalities for acne vulgaris has been a subject of extensive research and debate within the dermatology field. This thesis aims to analyze and compare the effectiveness of various treatment options for acne vulgaris, including topical medications, oral medications, and procedural interventions. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the topic, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key aspects related to the treatment of acne vulgaris, including the pathophysiology of acne, classification of acne severity, mechanisms of action of common acne treatments, and emerging therapies.
