This research project aims to investigate the impact of social media usage on mental health among adolescents. The study will explore how the increasing prevalence of social media platforms is affecting the mental well-being of teenagers. By examining the relationship between social media use and mental health outcomes such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and body image issues, this research seeks to provide valuable insights into the potential risks and benefits associated with adolescents' online behaviors. The methodology employed in this study will involve a combination of quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with adolescents to gather data on their social media habits and mental health experiences. By analyzing the data collected from these surveys and interviews, the research aims to identify patterns and correlations between social media usage patterns and mental health indicators. The findings from this study will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on the effects of social media on adolescent mental health. It is anticipated that the results will shed light on the potential negative consequences of excessive social media use, such as increased feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and low self-esteem.
