Abstract
The research project focuses on exploring the impact of climate change on global food security. Climate change is known to have various implications on agricultural productivity, food availability, and access, particularly in developing countries. The study aims to analyze the relationship between climate change and food security by examining how changes in temperature, precipitation patterns, and extreme weather events influence crop yields, food prices, and nutritional outcomes. The research employs a combination of quantitative analysis using global climate models and agricultural production data to assess the potential effects of climate change on food production at a global scale. Additionally, qualitative methods such as interviews and surveys will be conducted to gather insights from farmers, policymakers, and other stakeholders on the ground to understand the challenges and adaptation strategies being implemented. The findings of this research will contribute to the existing literature on climate change and food security by providing a comprehensive analysis of the current and future impacts of climate change on global food systems. By identifying vulnerable regions and populations, as well as potential adaptation strategies, this study aims to inform policy decisions and interventions aimed at improving food security in the face of climate change. Overall, this research project seeks to raise awareness about the urgent need to address climate change to ensure food security for present and future generations. By understanding the complex interactions between climate change, agriculture, and food systems, policymakers and stakeholders can develop effective strategies to build resilience, enhance adaptive capacity, and promote sustainable food production in a changing climate. The ultimate goal is to safeguard food security and reduce vulnerability to climate-related shocks, thereby contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals related to ending hunger, promoting sustainable agriculture, and ensuring food security for all.
